The club is pleased to announce that after a scary incident near the end of Saturday’s 13 point loss for our Women’s team, that Rebecca Herne has been released from hospital escaping major injury.
Rebecca was injured late in the last quarter, and was stretchered off the field with the assistance of both Emmaus St. Leo’s and South Melbourne Districts medical staff.
After two nights in hospital, Rebecca was released this morning after suffering a bad concussion as well as bruising to her back and neck, and will be home resting.
The club wishes to thank those from South Melbourne Districts who assisted on Saturday until paramedics attended.
Everyone from the Animals Family wishes Bec the best in her recovery and we all cannot wait to see her and her bright smile back at Bennettswood as soon as possible.
