A VAFA Board meeting held tonight has confirmed the cancellation of the 2020 VAFA season for both Men and Women.
Naturally, we are saddened by this news, with our recent return to training seeing good numbers returning to the club and the prospect of a strong year both on and off the field.
The cancellation will not stop the club continuing to grow off the field, as we move in to our 50th season in 2021.
Emmaus St. Leo’s would like to thank everyone involved in the club. Players, staff, volunteers, partners, and sponsors have all been fantastic not only through the uncertain isolation period, but also in our brief return to the training track.
The Animals Family will stick strong through this time, the club is in a very secure position financially, and we will be ready to hit the ground running come Round 1 2021.
We will stay in contact with the Animals Family throughout this time and will hopefully have much more positive announcements soon.
